We're low on jobs for machines w/o SSE capabilities. We are working to fix this. By the way, I often get asked "how come FAH can get low on jobs?" This is a good question, considering that since FAH studies...

Interesting...

I thought a Pentium II/3 would be too old to do any folding. I might dust off my old laptop since it isn't doing any good sitting under my bed covered in dust - Actually... It doesn't even have an OS at the moment.

I could probably even leave it on 24/7 since it isn't loud like my desktops

A Pentium II/3 is generally too slow to make folding worthwhile, however if you have one spare it would work running 24/7.
What's interesting to note in the blog post is the part about people cherry picking work units - just to reiterate, this is a really bad idea, and while I can understand why some people do it (for example, some GPU units run the GPU very very hot) this is the nature of the beast. Running high performance, beta or experimental clients requires more work from the user and more from their hardware, if people aren't pepared for the demans they shouldn't run those clients.
Clients that do not fall within those categories, there is no advantage to cheerry picking units, it just causes headaches for everyone involved in the project.
