Ok, I finally got my HP Pavillion zv5000 back, only problem is I can't access my schools WiFi. I pick up the WiFi, but instead of being SCCC Wireless, it's a bunch of jargen and symbols. It's quite erritating considering I need to access MSDN library for some of my classes. Any suggestions guys?

EDIT: I also registered both my lappy's MAC addresses. But still no dice. :(

Hey, Stix...

Are there any other WiFi hotspots your wireless picks up? If so, are those IDs also in gibberish...or is it just the school's wireless connection?

The schools WiFi hotspot shows up as jibberish on my HP, but on my Ipod Touch it shows up as SCCC Wireless/Wifi. It's annoying as hell.

James...

What was wrong with your PC?

What type of router do you have?

I don't have the slightest clue what my school uses....And there was nothing wrong with my lappy, I just clean installed it on Tuseday because I installed a new Hard drive.

Thanks for re-opening it, Glitch.
I have one suggestion you might want to try, Stix.

I recently had troubles with my school's new wireless system.
After installing this Microsoft Update, it works fine now.

The following update allows your computer to connect to wireless networks using the WPA2 / WPA2-Personal (PSK) encryption.

Something you may want to try.
